My wishes in the past and present..

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a policeman. I think they are cool. Besides, they catch bad people. But my mom hates them so much. It is because they do not earn much, cannot make a living. Hence, I stop wanting to be a policeman.

Then, I wanted to be a teacher, a primary school teacher. This is because I think small kids are cute. After graduated from high school, I have a part-time job. I teached in a primary school. Then. I started to hate the small kids. I think they are way too noisy. Thus, I stop wanting to be a teacher too.

Now, I am majoring in International Business and minoring in Japanese. Japanese is very hard. But, I intend to work in a Japanese company. Hence, I need to study really hard in order to get what I want. Then, I will be owning big house, nice car and traveling around the world. Basically, thats my current, reaistic wish..

I have a friend who is studying in biotechnology in my university. Lets call her K-san. K is 19 years old nd she is a girl. She is staying at Bukit Mertajam. She is pretty and interesting in a sense. Besides, her command in English is superb. She writes article for The Star newspaper.

I really adore and admire talented people. K is very good in playing violin. She is a violin sensei who teaches some small kids in her neighbourhood. Besides, she is independent and brave, one of a kind. Her mother saved her a bunch of money for her to study abroad. Yet when she was 17, straight after SPM, she spent all the money in a business. She started a restaurant, a seafood restaurant. Guess what, the restaurant has evolved from a single storey to a 3 storey restaurant. The business of the restaurant is fantastically good.

As for me, straight after SPM, I have an idea to start a restaurant as well with 3 of my best friends. We wanted to start a cafe which operates only at night to cater the needs of the youngsters around our neighbourhood area because a lot of young people do go out at night and it is hard for them to find a great spot to hang-out(at that time). The opportunity was there, sadly to say, we were gutless, only if we were brave enough to seize the opportunity. We were just not daring and mature enough to do so at that moment.

That's the reason why I deeply admire and envy her, envy a girl who is younger than me yet she knows where her life is heading and as for me, I am still floating in the wide, island-less ocean, heading nowhere. K is the only person I truly admire for now.

Japanese culture..

Japan is part of Asia but they do not resemble anything near most of the countries in Asia. Their thoughts, culture, beliefs and cuisines shape their own unique identity and that makes them different. To me, Japanese is vain and they desire to be pretty.

I have a few arguements in hand.
  1. Beauty Products Invention. Japan is one of the most innovative countries where they have lots of crazy and wild ideas basically about everything, for instance, air sex competition (sex without a partner, the male acts as if the woman is there). When it comes to beauty products, the demands are never disappointing even in this economy slowdown. It is because most of the Japanese regardless gender put beauty as their top priority. Most girls will not face the world without their make-up on, in fact, this applies on some guys as well. They will work their ass off to buy expensive luxurious beauty products to be looking good. That's the reason companies like Noevir never go under eventhough they sell expansive beauty products in this economy crisis. Their latest facial cream costs 100,000 yen for only 50 grams, which is more than RM3,000. Can you imagine that??
  2. Bikinis. The Japanese girls enjoy wearing bikinis whenever they go swimming or a visit to the beach regardless of how good or BAD they look in it. From a Japanese friend of mine, it is a norm for girls to wear bikini. In Malaysia, the bikini industry is still growing but in Japan, it is at the maturity stage. Only if our culture is same as theirs. Sigh~~
  3. Plastic surgery. To be fair, who doesn't want to be looking good in front of others!? Will anyone ever complain and get sick of the compliments he/she receive about how good-looking and gorgeous they are!? Who wants to be the thorn among the roses!? Literally speaking, everyone cares about how they look like in front of the public. But the extent of making yourself to look good is different for the Japanese. Can you imagine, Japan owns more plastic surgery firms than Korea. Yet, a lot of Japanese flew to Korea for plastic surgery because the price is 50% cheaper than in Japan. To me, it seems like Japanese are willing to do anything to 'beautifulize' themselves.

If you do not agree with me, feel free to bombard me with uncountable comments.

Cairns, Australia..

I went to Brisbane as well.
My aunt is staying there.
I spent only 2 days in Brisbane and I was staying at my aunt's house.
After Brisbane, I went to Cairns alone.

This is Cairns's public swimming pool.
It is quite a big and beautiful swimming pool.

The fiirst thing I did after putting all my stuffs at the backpackers' hotel, I went to skydive.

Skydiving
It was freakingly fun at first~~~~~

~~~~~ until a couple minutes before you actually jumping down from the plane. The plane looks fragile, old and it doesn't have a door. So, you can feel the wind in the plane.
でも、ちょっとこわかったです。
It was a bit scary as well. When you jumped down from the plane, it was an undescribable, adrenaline rushing experience.
But after a while, you stomach feel nothing and you feel like floating in the air. The view of Cairns from the air was awesome.
とても きれいでした。
The photo below shows how happy I was, eventhough the 'me' in the picture looks idiotic..
じの日、わたしはGreat Barrier Reef のNorman Reef でscuba divingでした。
The day after, I went scuba diving at Great Barrier Reef, to be specific, Norman Reef.
.
Great Barrier Reef はちょっときれいでした。
Great barrier Reef was disappointing. It is not that great afterall. I have been to Redang, Perhentian and Lang Tengah Island and the corals and marine lives in the islands are way richer than Great Barrier Reef.
.
White water rafting をしました。
I went to try white water rafting as well.
とてもきけん、でも、すごいいたのしかったです。
It was very dangerous yet fun. You can get drown easily and countless lives were taken by the seem-harmless-river. Besides, there are crocodiles in the river and the biggest crocodile they caught in the river was 4 metres long.
.
When we were rafting, suddenly my boat-mate who sat beside me dropped into the water and instantly, I threw away my peddle and I held him tight. Yet, I was not strong enough to pull him into the boat. After a couple seconds, we managed to pull him in.
.
When he was in the boat, we realized that there is a hole on his leg as stated in the picture below. It was very deep. When he was hanging beside the boat, his leg must be knocked onto a sharp rock and I believe this will leave a scar at his leg for a long long time. A souvenir from the river.
.
First aid session..
Some videos about the fun stuffs we experienced.
.
Cliff-jumping..
.
Small yet cool waterfall.
.
I love these kind of activities and am craving for more in the future.
.
That's a little bit about my trip in Cairns.
Cute, right??
なまえはAntoinetteとReneeです。
Their name are Antoinette and Renee. Antoinette is the elder sister.
Sydneyのうみはとてもきれいです。
The beaches in Sydney are very nice.
これはPelicanです。Pelicanはとてもおおきいです。
This bird is called Pelican. It is a huge bird.
わたしはBlue Mountainでいきました。
This is Blue Mountain.
Sydney TowerとOpera HouseとHarbour Bridgeはいきました。
I have been to Sydney Tower, Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
みんなたてものはとてもおもしろいです。
All these buildings are very interesting, especially the Opera House. It is uniquely shaped and it deserves to be in the top 10 of the world's most remarkable buildings.
わたしはサーフィンがだいすきです。
I like surfing very much.
サーフィンはおもしろいとたのしいです。
Surfing is fun and interesting. Bondi Beach in Sydney is quite a nice beach to chill.
わたしはSydneyで6日とまりました。でも、たのしかったです。
Eventhough I only stayed in Sydney for 6 days, but it was fun.
Melbourne and Tasmania, Australia..
さきのやすめに、わたしはひとりでAustraliaにいきました。
Melbourneはさいしょのばしょでいきました。
わたしはともだちのうちでとまりました。
わたしだちはGreat Ocean Roadでくるまをうんてんしますた。
Last holiday, I went to Australia alone to visit my friends for a month. I went to Melbourne, Tasmania, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns. My first stop was Melbourne. Melbourne is a big city which is not so interesting to me. Probably I am not a city-person. But undeniably, I like the clothes there. Compared to other places I visited in Australia, Melbourne probably has the best garments in Australia.
Throughout my stay in Melbourne, there is an evil place called Crown. It is the most evil casino in the world which will suck up all your money. So, peeps, don't even think of entering the place due to curiousity. Trust me, I personally experienced it.
When I was in Melbourne, I was staying with one of my best friends. Thus, free accomodation. Besides, since he is studying there, he is sort of like half an Australian. Hence, he knows best where to bring me and thanks to him, I went to a lot of places like Great Ocean Road. We went to Great Ocean Road by car. Great Ocean Road is highway-alike and a lot of great scenic spots along the road.
これはGreat Ocean Road の Twelve Apostles です。
One of the famous scenic spots is the Twelve Apostles. It consists of 12 big rocks seperated from the mainland due to years of erosion.
これはGreat Ocean Road のLondon Bridge です。
Another great scenic spot is called the London Bridge. From the photo below, it is not connected to the mainland. This is because around 18 years ago, the main arch connecting London Bridge and the mainland cracked and fell into the sea.
うちくしいふうけいですね。(Beautiful view, right!?)
Another great thing about the Great Ocean Road is that you can take tones of awesome photos along the road.
We even went down to a scenic spot and did some hiking and rock climbing. I would say it was not a smart move since we might die if we trip and fall from the cliff.
でも、たのしかったです。 (Yet, it was fun.)
On our way back, わたしだちは wild Koala Bears をみました。
Koala Bearはとてもかわいいですね。
On our way back, we saw a lot of wild Koala Bears. Don't you think they are cute!?
いっしゅうかんご、わたしはTasmaniaでanotherともだちにあいました。
(A week after, I went to Tasmania to meet up with another best friend of mine, Kenn)
なまえはKennです。
わたしはKennのちゅうごくじんとAustraliaじんともだちにたくさないました。
(He introduced his friends to me where most of them are Chinese from China and Australian.)
I can say, most of the Chinese there are heavy drinker. I played a lot of crazy, wild games and drank a lot of beer with them. There is something in common between Tasmania and Melbourne. the weather there are freezingly cold eventhough it is summer. That's the reason people over there drink beer more than water. Moreover, beer is cheap.
わたしだちはcampにいきました。(We went camping.)
We camped beside a lake and it was freezing. All of us were in jackets but still shiver when the wind blows.
つりをしました。(We went fishing.)
Kenn and his friends are studying Aquaculture in University of Tasmania. Thus, fishing is their favourite activity. They tend to like compete indirectly among themselves. It is something like a silent competition.
たくさんさかなを捕まえました。(A lot of fishes were caught)
Yet, Kenn was having a bad-luck day as he did not manage to get any and so did I. If I am not mistaken, we managed to catch around 7 big fishes.
Kenn and I love sushi and sashimi. だから(Therefore)、we picked the smallest Trout(a fish similar to salmon) and ate it raw. Our Australian friends tried it as well. でも(But)、Australiaじんはさしみがすきじゃありません。(they don't quite like it.)
わたしだちはよるにhuntingをしました。 (We went hunting)
そこでたくさんウサギとkangarooとちいさい動物があります。
(There were a lot of small animals like rabbits, possums and kangaroos around our camp sides)
.
Suddenly, we saw a herd of sheeps and we decided to surround them and catch a few of them. Guess what, there were seven of us and we managed to catch 5 sheeps.
とてもたのしかったです。 (It was so fun.)
.
I wanted to carry one of the sheeps and take a photo as remembrance.
でも、羊はとてもおもいです。(But, the sheeps are too heavy.) Or probably because I am not strong enough, that's why I needed help to carry the sheep up in air.
Then, we had some fun with the sheep as stated in the photo below. The fat dude on the left hand side is Kenn.
Beside camping, we went to a wild life park to see some animals which can only be found in Australia.
.
これはTasmanian Devilです。It earned its name from the blood-curdling devillish screams heard by the early settlers as they huddled around their campfires at night.
これは Wombatです。 (This animal is called Wombat)わたしはWombatがだいすきです。(I love Wombat.) Wombat はとてもかわいいですから。(It is so cute.)
.
I seriously love this animal. It is so adorable. It looks like a huge guinea pig. Someone in Australia should really commercialize this animal because I will definitely get one as pet.
.
Just a video of me playing with a Wombat.
.
.
That's a bit of my trip in Melbourne and Tasmania. I will talk about Sydney and Cairns in other entries.
